Requirements: Using internet travel services, develop the cheapest, 7-night vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii for New Year's 2002 as possible. The hypothetical vacationer must be in Hawaii on January 1, 2002, and can not travel (arrive or depart) on that day.



Basic Assignment Option:

Step 1: Browse airline web sites, such as Delta.com (www.delta.com) or United.com (www.united.com), to find the cheapest roundtrip flights to Honolulu, HA for New Year's Day 2002.
Step 2: When you find the cheapest rate, print the pricing page as proof.
Step 3: Assume additional trip expenses: Hotel=$700, Rental Car=$400, Food=$300, Entertainment=$250.
Step 4: Use Microsoft Excel to create a spreadsheet to display all trip expenses.
Step 5: Create a chart to visually display trip expenses. Insert graph into spreadsheet.
Step 6: Submit Excel spreadsheet w/graph via email attachment to the instructor. Submit printed copy of airline pricing sheet in class on due date.
