Inspiration

Objective: To export an Inspiration file as an Image file



Introduction: Inspiration is a software program that can help teachers create educational aids for use in handouts, on tests, or even on class websites. Inspiration files can be "exported" in a variety of file types, such as .gif, .jpg, .html, and bitmap. Creating and using educational-based images other than those found in textbooks can further students' understand of educational concepts.



Skill Practice: To export an Inspiration file as an Image file

Step 1: Open . Go to and Open to open an existing Inspiration file that you would like to export to a different file type. If you don't have one, create a new Inspiration file to use with this exercise.

Step 2: After you have identified the file you would like to use, go to and Export.... The "Export" window will appear on screen.

Step 3: In the "Export" window, go to the Diagram Formats section - choose a file type, such as .gif or.html for your file. For example, if you want to transform your Inspiration file into an image file to use on a handout or webpage, select .gif or .jpg.

Step 4: The Save As window will appear. Choose a "file name" and a "save" location on your computer for your exported file. "Click" on when finished.

Step 5: The exported file should now appear in the specified location on your computer.
