Objective: To create a web page for an Excel workbook
Introduction: Of all the functions that Microsoft Excel offers to users, one of the most useful may be the "Save as Web Page" function. Educators who love to use Excel, and all of it's many functions, can now save their Excel files as web pages, and upload the files to a "web space" for display on the internet. Once uploaded to the "web", students and colleagues will be able to access the class-related files from any computer in the world that has internet access.
Skill Practice: Create a web page for an Excel workbook
Step 1: Open
. Go to File > Open to open an existing gradebook, or go to File > New, and select
to create a new workbook.
Step 2: Within the Excel file you are working with, input the desired column and row data.
Step 3: Initial "Save" - Go to File > Save As.... The "Save As" window will appear on screen. Select a

for your Excel file, such as "Microsoft Excel Workbook (*.xls). When finished, click on

Step 4: Add any additional data, images, charts, or tables to your Excel file. Save new additions to your Excel file by simply clicking on the
toolbar icon.
Step 5: Save as "Web Page" - When you are ready to save your finalized Excel file as a web page, go to File > Save As Web Page... The "Save As" window will appear on screen. Default web page "save" settings will already be selected for you. Select between saving the entire workbook, or just one spreadsheet within the workbook
