Introduction: Dreamweaver makes it easy for educators to create tables for use on web pages. Through a few simple clicks of the mouse, educators can create and format tables to fit perfectly into the layout of a school, class, or personal web page.

Skill Practice: Create a Table

Step 1: Open . A new, untitled document will appear on screen. Move the cursor to the place in your document where you want the table to be inserted.

Step 2: Go to Insert > Table. The "Insert Table" window will appear on screen, with "default" settings appearing in the text boxes.



Step 3: Set the options on the "Insert Table" window for your table. When finished, select . Your table will appear where you positioned the cursor.

Step 4: To edit and format the table, click on the table, or in a table cell. A table formatting menu will appear in the lower half of the Property Inspector.



Step 5: Use the options to add background and cell color to your table. Add additional text and graphics to the table as desired.
